February 8th Meeting
We have a fun meeting coming up on February 8th. There’s no better way to brighten your living area than with an eye-catching floral arrangement. All our members love flowers or they would not be members of our orchid society. It can be difficult to create elaborate flower arrangements like the ones you see in magazines or garden festivals without knowing some basic floral arrangement techniques. At this meeting we will learn some basic techniques and what it takes to create the following three designs: parallel, Asian and designers’ choice. Guess what, these are the three design categories for our Garden Festival held in March. Our speakers will be Linda and Ron Lang. Come, learn and ask them questions. I encourage our members to consider entering a design in our Garden Festival. Remember you can also enter a miniature design. Ron and Linda are accredited judges who have received training and certification to judge flower shows. They uphold judging standards and policies set by the National Garden Clubs. Inc and California Garden Clubs, Inc.
