SOUTHLAND ORCHID SHOW WINNERS! 

A resounding round of Applause for the RSBCOS Southland Show participants!!!Members of our society were awarded six of the eight Best in Section trophies and multitude of ribbons. Here are some of the highlights:

Gene and Sandy Collins’ plant Lc. Hawaiian Search won Best of Section, Best of Class, First Place and the trophy for best Cattleya and their Psychopsis papilio 'Joey' also won Best of Section, Best of Class, First Place and the trophy for best Oncidium.

Mark Gerhard won Best of Section, Best of Class, First Place, and The Gordon Clayton Memorial Award for Best Paphiopedilum/Phragmipedium for his Phrag. Les Dirouilles.

Jim Wheeler won Best of Section, Best of Class, First Place, and the trophy for the best Phalenopsis for his Phal. San Jacinto Peoker.

Jamie Stewart won Best of Section, Best of Class, First Place, and the trophy for best Dendrobium for his Den. Marcie Girl ‘Dark Bravo’.

Karin Cleary-Rose won Best of Section, First Place, and the trophy for the best Pluerothalid for her Mas. constricta.

Other orchids belonging to folks above and to Yvonne Moore and Micaela Solis also won 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Ribbons. Lots and Lots of ribbons! Our display easily had the highest ribbon to plant ratio at the Show. Congratulations to everyone and thank you for your excellent participation!
